"To me making music is essential. The possibility to express oneself not with words but with melodies, harmonies and rhythms instead is an enormous personal gain. To communicate together through music connects, inspires and can be a fulfilling experience. Personally, I always feel better once I've made music - alone or with others.
Teaching the flute is very important to me: learning the technique is the way to express oneself in a new language. My students are on friendly terms with me and with each other. Often, there originate ensembles which gives me great pleasure. Meanwhile, other instrumentalists have joined my flute students and there are always new opportunities to play together."
